Niamh and Ken had a beautiful winter wedding with their ceremony being held in one of my favourite chapels in Tralee….. Balloonagh church and their wedding reception held at the exclusive Malton Hotel in Killarney. Niamh looked stunning in her wedding gown designed by Gemy Maalouf, a Lebanese designer who is known for her effortless form fitting creations. She carried her sparkly elegant brooch bouquet which her mum made for her! She looked simply stunning!!
It was important for Niamh and Ken to keep their wedding day simple and traditional.
Here are a few words from Niamh:
It was important for us that in years to come we would be able to look back at our photos and feel they were timeless. This influenced everything from the invitations and the dress, to the décor in the church. Family and friends are extremely important to both of us and we wanted their enjoyment to be of paramount importance on the day.
For us, it was always The Malton, Killarney. We love its ageless beauty which incorporates both contemporary and period styling. The wedding attaché Emer made herself available to us at every point which put our minds greatly at ease. The magnificent view of the ballroom from the top table will never be forgotten.
If I could give one piece of advice to other wedding couples it would be to:
Remember it’s simply a big party with your family and friends, who only want to see both of you happy and relaxed. Keep that in perspective and you’ll enjoy every single minute.
And with regards to our wedding photographs….
We scoured the internet looking for a wedding photographer in Kerry that would provide the style we were looking for. We wanted someone who would capture unique natural moments and also someone who would be easy and gentle to work with on the day. We found that exactly in Elaine. We felt absolutely no intrusion and yet we were still given enough calm direction in order to capture all the key moments. Scenic shots were important to us as we are active outdoor people, the beauty of Tralee bay was amazingly captured for us in the light and warmth of the shots. I would highly recommend Elaine Kennedy as a wedding photographer who knows how to immortalise the beauty and uniqueness of your own special day.
